How we handle your data
If we contacted you and you were not expecting it, this page explains where we got your details, why we think we were entitled to use them, and how to make it stop. That last one takes one email and we action it permanently.
Want to be removed?
Email [email protected] with any address or profile we used. We add it to a permanent suppression list within 5 working days. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not reply asking you to reconsider.
Who we are
Ammodus is a small AI systems consultancy operating in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the contact data described here. We are not currently incorporated as a limited company, so there is no company number to quote; the people accountable for this data are named below and are contactable directly.
- Victor Adeyemi — [email protected] (LinkedIn)
- Amine Lamarti — [email protected] (LinkedIn)
Our outreach is sent from ammodusglobal.com and ammodusgroup.com, as well as ammodus.com. If you received mail from any of those domains, this notice covers it.
What we hold
Business contact details only: name, job title, employer, work email address, work telephone number where publicly listed, and a LinkedIn profile URL. We also store notes from public research about the company — funding, hiring, leadership changes — used to decide whether contact is relevant at all.
We do not hold special category data, we do not process personal data about consumers, and we do not use your data to train models.
Where we got it
We did not get it from you. It comes from commercial B2B contact databases (principally Apollo), from your employer's public website, and from public professional profiles and news coverage. This section exists because UK GDPR Article 14 requires us to tell you the source when we obtain data indirectly.
Why we think we may use it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): contacting people in a professional capacity about a service plausibly relevant to their role. We contact corporate subscribers at their work addresses, which is the category of B2B marketing PECR permits without prior consent.
We balance that against your interests by contacting you only where a specific, verifiable business signal suggests relevance, by keeping volume low, by never contacting personal addresses, and by stopping permanently and immediately on request. If you object, our interest ends there — we do not weigh it again.
How long we keep it
Active prospect records are kept while the outreach is live and for up to 24 months after the last contact, after which they are deleted.
One deliberate exception: if you ask to be removed, we keep a minimal record of the address or profile itself on a suppression list indefinitely. That is the only way to guarantee a future data import does not reintroduce you. It holds nothing beyond what is needed to recognise and exclude you.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, and to restrict it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month, normally far sooner. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would rather you told us first, but you are not obliged to.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update this page. It applies to outreach sent from the domains listed above.
Questions about anything here go to [email protected]. See also our contact page.
